Maxis Software is an American company founded as an independent video game developer in 1987. It is currently a subsidiary of Electronic Arts (EA). Maxis is the creator of the best-selling computer game of all time, The Sims and its sequel The Sims 2, and have recently finished the development and release of Spore. These titles and their related products are the brand's most popular and successful lines. Most Maxis titles are simulation-based, though none are considered traditional simulations. (yes i've been playing that long) and if your asking for the sims 3 lower than 43.99 i don't think that is gonna happen anytime soon. all stores are selling it for 50$ and i don't know why anyone would sell it for less. wait until the first sims 3 expansion comes out or so and the price will drop if its that much of an issue.
